Texas probate forms

Texas probate forms are published by the courts. Counties sometimes layer their own local forms on top of the statewide ones, so always confirm with the court where probate is filed.

Where to find them

Texas does not publish a single statewide forms set the way California does. Forms vary by county and by court (statutory probate court vs. county court at law).

TexasLawHelp.org and many county clerks provide self-help packets covering small estates and muniment of title.

Forms most executors will see

Application to Probate Will and for Issuance of Letters Testamentary.

Inventory, Appraisement, and List of Claims (or Affidavit in Lieu).
