About ExecutorHome

Why we built this

Settling an estate is one of the most stressful, opaque, and time-sensitive things a non-professional ever does — usually while grieving. The information is scattered across court websites, message boards, and law-firm marketing pages. ExecutorHome puts the steps in one calm, plain-language place.

Editorial standards

Our universal content is written and reviewed by experienced editors. State- specific information is reviewed by licensed attorneys in the relevant state before we publish dollar thresholds, deadlines, or specific forms. Pages awaiting that review are clearly marked.

How we make money

ExecutorHome is free for executors. We charge probate-experienced professionals — attorneys, realtors, CPAs, appraisers, estate-sale companies — to be listed in our directory and to receive matched introductions when you opt in. We disclose those paid relationships clearly. Editorial content is independent of directory placements.

Who we’re not

We are not a law firm, not a financial advisor, and not a substitute for professional advice on your specific situation. See our disclaimer.
